Privacy and data use

FanKuha Privacy Policy

This policy explains what FanKuha collects, why it is used, who may receive it, and the choices available to artists and fans during the private founding-artist pilot.

Effective July 30, 2026Version privacy-2026-07-30
These founding-pilot policies are an operational baseline and must receive final business and legal review before the pilot expands. Promotional email and SMS sending remain locked until required contact details, provider setup, and controlled acceptance are complete.

1. Scope and roles

FanKuha provides artist pages, QR codes, fan signup tools, artist dashboards, permission-based email and text alerts, and secure fan preference updates.

When a fan joins an artist page, FanKuha processes the information to operate the service and makes that information available to the specific artist whose page the fan joined. That artist is independently responsible for how they use exported or otherwise accessed fan information outside FanKuha.

2. Information we collect

Artist information: account email, authentication and security records, artist name, profile content, links, images, notification email, dashboard time zone, invitation and pilot-status records.

Fan information: name, email, optional phone number, optional postal or ZIP code, show and livestream interests, artist relationship, signup and update timestamps, and communication choices.

Consent and delivery evidence: consent wording and version, consent or withdrawal timestamps, unsubscribe and STOP/START events, hashed contact identifiers, campaign and delivery status, bounce or complaint suppressions, and security/audit events.

Technical information: limited request, device, browser, and network information used for security, rate limiting, troubleshooting, and fraud prevention. Sensitive request signals used by the secure update flow are stored as keyed hashes rather than raw IP addresses or device strings.

3. How we use information

We use information to create and secure artist accounts; publish artist signup pages and QR codes; maintain artist-specific fan lists; deliver confirmations and secure update links; send artist-authorized communications to fans who opted in; process unsubscribes, STOP, START, and HELP; prevent duplicate sends; investigate errors; and protect the service.

FanKuha does not sell personal information and does not use fan information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not require SMS consent as a condition of purchase or participation.

4. How information is shared

Fan information is shared with the artist whose page the fan joined. We also use service providers for hosting and deployment, authentication and database services, email delivery, SMS delivery, security, and operational support. These providers process information to perform services for FanKuha.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect people or the service, investigate abuse, enforce our terms, or complete a business reorganization subject to appropriate safeguards.

5. Communication choices and data requests

Email alerts include an artist-specific unsubscribe method. Text recipients may reply STOP to opt out, START to resume when permitted, or HELP for assistance. A fan may use the artist’s secure Update my details page to change contact information and preferences.

Artists and fans may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of information, or appeal a denied request, through FanKuha Support. We verify requests before disclosing or changing information and may retain limited consent, suppression, security, or legal records after other information is deleted.

6. Retention and security

We retain information while needed to operate the artist relationship and pilot, provide communications, maintain opt-out and consent evidence, resolve disputes, secure the service, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods may differ by record type; FanKuha will document and approve a more specific retention schedule before the pilot expands.

FanKuha uses access controls, Row-Level Security, server-only provider credentials, hashed tokens and contact identifiers, signed provider webhooks, idempotency protections, and audit records. No system can guarantee absolute security.

7. Children and international processing

FanKuha is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 should not submit information. Invited artist account holders must be able to enter a binding agreement and are expected to be at least 18.

FanKuha is operated from the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations used by service providers. Canadian commercial electronic messages are intended to rely on affirmative consent and include identification and unsubscribe mechanisms.

8. Policy changes and contact

We may update this policy as FanKuha changes. The effective date and version appear at the top. Material changes will be presented through the service or by another appropriate notice before they apply where required.
